New: NutriVital Organic Chlorella

OK, so we have been offering pure Organic Chlorella for some time now. But we have found a new source that we are very pleased with, so we want to tell you about it.

As of May 2013, NutriVital Organic Chlorella will not only be certified Organic, 100% pure and ecologically grown without pesticides, herbicides or preservatives and without binders, fillers or additives. Over and above the requirements for Organic certification, every single batch and the water in which it was grown will have been tested to ensure cleanliness and purity. While we have always been extremely careful about the conditions in which our algae products are grown, it’s nice to have the extra assurance.

This is extremely important to us because of the nature of algae – they absorb and assimilate nutrients from their surrounding environment whilst they’re growing. This is partly what makes them so nutritious, but it also means that one needs to be careful about the environment in which is it grown.

NutriVital Organic Chlorella is grown in specially engineered growing ponds filled with tested ground water on a small island off the southern coast of China, isolated from farms, industrialised areas, and other sources of pollution.

While organic certification provides excellent assurances as to the way in which a product has been grown and processed, it doesn’t cover testing of the environment or the finished product for chemical residues. This is why every single batch of NutriVital Organic Chlorella is tested for contaminants including lead, arsenic, mercury and also the harmful bacteria staphylococcus, salmonella and shigella. These tests are entirely voluntary and help to ensure that when you buy NutriVital Organic Chlorella, you are getting the best possible product.
